Legal assistance, elder rights, and aging and disability services professionals can take steps to improve systems and service delivery methods to better serve all older adults, especially older adults from marginalized communities and those who face barriers in accessing legal services. Building expertise on the legal needs of older adults from specific communities can also help ensure that those with the greatest economic or social need receive person-centered and person-directed services.
NCLER provides free case consultation assistance for attorneys and professionals seeking more information to help older adults.
